SAM BASS - Guntersville

Okay we are waiting,I wish someone would let these fish know that we have read in Bassmaster mag. that when fall comes they are supposed to fatten up. Apparently the fish didn't get that memo. I can only assume with the decline in fishing reports on Guntersville everybody is experiencing the same TOUGH!!!! With several things contributing to this: TVA, mother nature, seasonal transition, fishing pressure, and just for fun lets throw some blame on "roseberry restoration" and the fine people of our city council who spent tax payer dollars to kill all the grass on one of the best frog holes in the County park area. And did this to help tourism, I said it before and I will say it again YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID. I know you thought like I would that this front would help once it settled down. This week has been some of the toughest fishing I can remember in Sept., but this is still the Big G. There is still some big fish eating out there if you are lucky enough to be in one of the areas where they decide to eat. This could be over 20ft. of water, in a grass mat, next to a grass mat, in front of boat house, or at Long John Silvers(which is the only place I can guarantee a limit eveytime). The high water has sent me and my frog into detox, its so bad that last night I was trying to get my cat to hit my snagproof frog and still I could get no hit. I wish I could tell you something to do that could be repeated, but I have caught some fish doing some unusual things for sept./oct. fishing on the Big G. I can say this - keep moving, try not to fish where you caught them before, and keep an open mind. I will be practicing for the upcoming Stren tourn. this week so my reports will be limited or I will be checking into Bradford if I don't get a blow-up soon.  thank you Sam Bass
