CLARKS HILL IS DOWN 4.2 FEET, 76 DEGREES, SLIGHTLY STAINED BY TIM WHITE - RAPALA PRO STAFF

Bass fishing is still pretty good according to Tom Hall. Tom fishes the "Hill" on a regular basis and provides some good reports. Like the other two lakes on the Savannah River chain, anglers are fishing the main lake and secondary points. Finding the right point will be the key if you are looking for a big bag this week. All the points are producing, but only a few are producing big Bass. Tom reports a 14 inch Carolina Rig is working good this past week. The stronger bite seems to be in the Savannah River this week. Try fishing around the Soap Creek area with top water baits early and jigs and rigs later on. Tom said that the summer pattern is still weak until the water warms up a little more. Don't forget to put some Catch and Release in your live wells. Too many fish are showing up dead at those weigh ins. One capful is all it takes to keep those Bass healthy. Keep what you want and release the rest so we can all enjoy good fishing for a long time.
