Guntersville, May 2002

I have gotten report streaming in from Guntersville reporting some very good fish. Largemouth in upwards of 8 pounds have been taken out of the grass on several different baits. The Baby Brush Hog has been very good in Watermelon Seed, Watermelon Candy and June Bug. Fish the bait with 3/16oz. bullet weight and hang on to your rod in the grass. The 10 inch Swimmer from Sizmic is turning on being swam through the grass and near docks. Olive Red, June Bug and Watermelon Red are good bets. Throw a Sammy 115 in the morning to fool a good fish on top. Talked to some guys that ran to Goose Pond and did fairly well, but most fish are being caught near the river on drops. Try a large spinnerbait from Stan Sloan to catch some keepers as well.
