Wed 10-09-02>> Conditions:: am temp 70 cloud cover. Wind S/SE @ 10-15 MPH. Water temps from 78-81. Water Level:: changing see my site www.alabamalakes.net for current lake levels of all Alabama Lakes. Bass fishing today was very good, we started the morning with topwater ( sammy 115) and had several blow ups but no hook sets. Fishing the same areas with shallow crank baits and or spinner baits. This presentation produced some smaller spots. My clent decided to try a few cast with a carolina rig and had excellent results. His first was a 4.2 spot caught using a finess worm. During the day we had several nice fish using carolina rigged finess worms or Yamamoto senkos. From time to time the shallow crank bait would also produce fish. The fish at Lake Martin are not yet up and running the banks, but this could happen at any time considering the forthcoming weather front.
