LOGAN MARTIN APRIL 2004

Tuesday 3-30: Conditions: Perfect, 60 degrees first light, calm winds and p/cloudy wind changing to 15-20 MPH by 1pm. I fished with Mike Bryant of Sylacauga today. Fishing today was more like we are all used to during the spring. Early morning topwater bite was excellent using a Sammy 100 around shallow gravel points. The topwater bite lasted until about 10AM. Among several landed on topwater the largest was a Spot at 4.3 lbs. Also took several fish on jerk baits until the wind came up. Later in the day we fished bedding areas with the spotsticker and a Watermelon Red NetBait Finesse worm. We caught 20 or so nice spots using this pattern. Of the 20 caught on the Spotsticker several were in the 3 lb + range. The pix is of Mike with one of several spots he landed using the spotsticker. ( spotstickers are now available at Riverside Marina ) Large thunderstorm ran us off the water around 2PM. Needless to say Mike is hooked on MegaStrike.
