GULF COAST MAY 2005

fished friday for snapper 40 miles sse. of orange beech. the current was brutal and we scratched on the snapps so i hit the rigs in 300 ft for aj's gladd i made the run cause it paid off. ended with our limit all between 40 and 50 lbs. all were caught on jiggs and spinning rods, talk about a fight. it's not often i get scratched on snapper, it seems like the last time it happened the current was really bad, does anyone have any input on this? anyway was nice a nice day on the water. hope to get down this weekend, thinking about hitting the floaters as it's been a few weeks since i went for yellowfin tight lines
