WILSON NOV. 2005
Water Temperature: 65Water Clarity: Not reported
I fished Wilson today with two clients from the Atlanta area. It was a fun day. TVA finally ran water all day and the fishing results showed. For the day, we caught close to over 40 smallmouth with at least 20 near the 3lb mark and 7-8 close to 4lbs. Our big fish was about 5lbs. Early this morning, I lost the big fish of the day after a awesome full body jump. It was at least 6lbs and was jet black in coloration. In addition, we caught several Saltwater Stripe with the big stripe of about 8-10lbs.
It was a very fun day. I believe with this cooling weather and late fall, this fishing will last for several weeks.
I have the following dates open if anyone is interested in a trip. November 22, 23, 25, 27, 28, 29 and 30. In addition, I have several days in December. If interested in booking a trip, please call my cell phone at 256-762-0014.
The attached picture is from Tuesday Mornings trip. One fish is about 1.5lbs and the other is about 3.5lbs. Both were caught at the same time.
If you go smallmouth fishing, please catch and release. These fish are awesome fighters and definitely deserve to be released. Over the past few years, our smallmouth fishing has been on a downswing and this fall has been very encouraging. Please catch and release.
Thanks. Jimmy
