GUNTERSVILLE SEPT 2006 - Guntersville
GUNTERSVILLE SEPT 2006
Fishing Report, Lake Guntersville 9/10/2006
I’m starting to get back on the water now, and expect by the end of September to be fishing day in a day out again. The good news is the water temperature has definitely cooled there was a couple of days this past week where we had 78 degree water temperatures and expect that with a few more colder nights we will get some consistency in these cooler waters throughout the lake.
The fish however are very tough to find, I had some
success on top water, fishing rats and buzz baits, but getting a consistent bite has not been easy. You would expect this time of year that the bass would start there fall movement and be relatively bunched up at the mouth of the creeks. This I believe has just not happened yet there are some fish shallow, but we have not seen a big movement to the creeks.
The fish I caught this week were in the upper end of the lake above Goosepond fishing in about 3 to 4 feet of water with 9 to 10 feet of water very close bye.
I am booking for October, if you want to get on Lake Guntersville this fall its time to call get it scheduled. I believe the “rat” fishing will be great and expect to have a great fall, lets go fishing I look forward to hearing from you.
