I fished three days this week. I would have fished more but the weather was terrible a few days.
Sunday I fished with Jim Lytle. He wanted to fly fish but a solid wind kept us tossing spinning tackle. We had very little success getting exactly one red and one trout all day. Hey, that three weeks off hurt! I don't know where the fishies are!
Wednesday morning Maxx and I went out on the Indian River Lagoon in a canoe. It was still windy. We went wading, and managed to get a couple reds, one on an Electric Sushi, one on a Dupre Spoonfly. We were off the water around noon time.
Thursday Tom Van Horn and I went on a scouting trip in the Indian River Lagoon. Tom needed to locate some fish for his charter the next day, while simultaneously avoiding the high winds and ugly hordes of tournament anglers. He hooked a nice trout and a nice red on a High Roller plug, but lost both. We found a few fish but didn't put any in the boat.
I got weathered out of my trip yesterday and again today.
Remember- Life is short- GO FISHING!
And life is still great and I really love my work!
